AMD Ryzen 4000 about to arrive? Impending mass production

by ace

Despite all the rumors suggesting a postponement of the Ryzen 4000 based on the Zen 3 architecture, it seems that AMD is doing everything for everything so that the launch not only happens in 2020, but also arrives as soon as possible. (Which in my opinion is strange, something I comment at the end of the article).

At the end of the day, the increasingly famous Igor’s Lab website, has fresh information stating that the Ryzen 4000 have already reached the last stages of the development process, since they are already in the ‘B0 ′ stepping. That is, at the end of the validation process. (Stepping B0 means that the processor is already running at 100%. Just waiting to enter production lines, to reach the global market en masse.)

AMD Ryzen 4000 about to arrive? Impending mass production?

In case you don’t know, AMD may need 3 ~ 4 months to produce enough units, so if TSMC is already in place, very soon we will have the new Ryzen 4000 on the market!

Still, I have a strange feeling about all of this …

Isn’t this rush on the part of AMD strange?

After all, we have to keep in mind that AMD shouldn’t be in such a hurry as that. Since the Ryzen 3000 continues to dominate the market! In addition, we will still have the arrival of the ‘refresh’ of these same CPUs in the form of Ryzen 3000 XT. How will AMD launch the Ryzen 3000 XT in the summer and Ryzen 4000 at the end of the year? Is not strange?

In short, AMD has the market at hand, it can do whatever it wants … The same exact position that Intel had for a number of years.

So, in my most honest opinion, if I were in a leadership position within AMD, the Ryzen 4000 would never be launched in 2020, only in the beginning of 2021, to make the current generation fish yield.
