Huawei Mate 40: design is on the Internet and is impressive!

Now that the Huawei P40 is already on the market, attention is quickly turning to the next top-of-the-range manufacturer. I mean, of course, the Huawei Mate 40. As with the predecessors, this device should arrive later in the year. It is true that there is still no official information about this device. However, this did not prevent the first renderings from reaching the Internet. The new image shows that the Huawei Mate 40 will have an exclusive design. In fact, it is something very different from the past and very attractive.

Starting with photography that defines mostly Huawei smartphones, Mate 40 comes with a Penta camera configuration. We have four camera sensors and a flash inside the same space. Then we have another chamber below that compartment. Looking at the inscription “100X” next to the camera that is alone, we realized that this independent sensor must be a telephoto sensor.

However, the biggest feature of the rear design is the new secondary display. As you can see in the image, this screen shows the time, battery, wifi, alarm clock and network signal. Still, it is likely to have more functions, such as automatic timer. This is the first time that we see Huawei betting on this design. It is not something entirely new for the smartphone industry. A Chinese smartphone, the Meizu Pro 7, is betting on a similar system. Although, in this case, the double rear cameras were embedded in the secondary screen.

Meanwhile on the front, we quickly notice that the screen is curved, in the same style as the Huawei Mate 30 Pro. In addition, we can see that there is no monochrome or hole in the screen. This may lead to the conclusion that Mate 40 arrives with a camera hidden on the screen. Of course, we will only be able to confirm this in a few months. It is that, as far as we know, this technology is not yet finalized and as such it may take some time to be implemented. If this is not possible, it would be interesting to implement a pop-up camera.
