Well, despite everything indicating that Apple is ready to launch its iPhone 9 (SE 2) already in April, it seems that the North American giant is not in the mood to take chances with its next tops of range! After all, no one yet knows when the chaos of the COVID-19 will end … And when it does, no one has the slightest idea of the impact this will have on consumers' purchasing power, and as a result, on the technological market!
It is quite possible, and even highly likely, that the iPhone 12 Pro is a real ‘flop’, not because it’s a bad smartphone, but because no one will have the money to buy it! Yes, the iPhone has an Apple on the back, but that doesn't kill anyone.
iPhone 12 in December 2020 or January 2021 !?
Therefore, due to the new Coronavirus (COVID-19), it is possible that Apple may decide to postpone the launch of its iPhone 12 until the holiday season. Or maybe, early 2021, when everything should have returned to normal. After all, in a very curious way, analysts can only calculate a chance of 10 ~ 15%, for a launch in October 2020, due to delays in the main production lines of the North American company.
That said, although production is returning to normal in China, the truth is that the start of sample production should have started a few months ago. In other words, the whole process is now heavily delayed.
So it will still be some time before production reaches what is required of an Apple product, especially in 2020, when the manufacturer had planned to bring 4 devices to the market instead of just 3, all with OLED screens. (2 Premium models and 2 Budget models)
Still, it is possible that there will be positive news in the coming weeks! But there it is, as I said above, even if production reaches the levels expected in the coming months … I would not be surprised if Apple decided to continue with the postponement of its next smartphones. At least until I'm sure that the launch will not be limited by a financial crisis.
