NVIDIA Ampere in May! – Due to the Coronavirus, all major face-to-face events have been canceled, this is no longer news to anyone. The problem is that the big companies basically had to re-invent the way they launch their products, because nobody knows when it will be possible to sponsor this kind of gigantic events again.
That is why NVIDIA has already decided to change GTC 2020 to a digital event, already canceled it, resumed it, canceled it again and now it looks like it will even go ahead with an 'All Digital Event', in order to show consumers the power of the new Ampere architecture, the successor to the current Turing. And apparently, the event will take place on May 14th.
NVIDIA Ampere in May! It's the company itself that says
So it was NVIDIA itself that in an ‘updated’ ad mentioned the following phrase… “Get Amped for Latest Platform Breakthroughs in AI, Deep Learning, Autonomous Vehicles, Robotics and Professional Graphics.” The key here is obviously Ampere's “Get Amped” of course.
Thus, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang is expected to take the GTC virtual stage on May 14, 2020, with the event to be broadcast live on YouTube at 13H in Portugal.
As the sentence above mentions, the main focus will be Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Professional Graphics, etc … That is, do not expect to see the announcement of the new NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3000. Still, it is very likely that professional graphics cards based on the same architecture are launched here, or at least announced.
In short, GTC 2020 will really move forward, despite already having a few weeks delay on top. And apparently, with some bombastic news! Will you attend the event on the 14th?

Since I was very young I was interested in computers and technology in general, I had my first PC at 10 and at 15 I built my first tower, since then I never stopped. Whatever technology is, I'm in the front row to find out more.
