Oops !? Microsoft let out Windows and Office source code!

Well, it looks like the Microsoft software giant has just been attacked by a high-profile hacker, since the attacker was able to access the source code for the North American giant's most valuable products! We are talking about Windows, Office and even the Azure platform! The ‘big three’ when it comes to revenue.

<p>Therefore, the hacker has already made it public that he had access to the company's private Github, where he managed to 'steal' about 500GB of confidential information. An attack that could be worth millions in damage to Microsoft's coffers, and a few million to the hacker's vault.</p>
<p>As proof, the hacker has already revealed several images of the stolen code in order to support all of his claims.</p><div class='code-block code-block-6' style='margin: 8px auto; text-align: center; display: block; clear: both;'>

Is this really that bad for Microsoft?

(Update: Sources point to the fact that the stolen information is real, but none of the information is of extreme importance or capable of creating problems for Microsoft in the future. Is this true? Or is it just damage control?)

It is impossible to know whether or not the hacker had access to the entire source code of Microsoft products, or if only parts of it were forgotten in this private GitHub. However, several experts have already come out to say that all of this could mean huge losses for the accounts of the company founded by Bill Gates.

Interestingly, Microsoft initially did not believe what was happening. But after the images were published, it seems that the teams are now in full swing to try to mend the damage. It may even be possible to try to 'buy' the code back to avoid having to deal with worse things in the future.

After all, it is likely that the product of this theft is already on sale somewhere on the internet, and there is no information about any ransom request from Microsoft itself.

Meanwhile, also know that this hacker was known in the past for having managed to break into the computers of Tokopedia, the largest e-commerce company in Indonesia, publishing the personal data of 91 million users of the platform on the Internet.
