So, in case you don't know, Epic Games has recently presented its latest graphics engine, the Unreal Engine 5. Thus increasing all the speculation around the performance of new generation hardware. After all, the presentation was made on the Sony PlayStation 5 hardware, with the demo running in real time on the console.

That said, it is undeniable that the demo was impressive! By being able to show us a little of what we can expect in relation to the new bets from Sony and Microsoft

Well, if you want to have an idea of the console's performance in relation to the PC world, according to the developers themselves, to be able to run the same exact tech demo fluidly, you would need at least a GeForce RTX 2070 Super! A graphics card that is usually found on the market between 500 and 650 €.

That is, a graphics card that basically costs what new generation consoles should cost when they finally reach the shelves.

However, it was also revealed that the tech demo was executed with Dynamic Resolution active, managing to maintain 1440p and 30FPS the vast majority of the time. In addition, the dedicated hardware for Ray-Tracing has been disabled. In other words, it will be possible to present results similar to what we can see in the video, on hardware without Ray Tracing support.

As usual, Epic also highlighted the many benefits of the PS5's super fast SSD! Claiming that it would not have been possible to achieve these same results on machines using traditional hard drives, or even SATA SSDs, since they do not have the reading speeds necessary to load the high definition textures in time for fluid rendering.

Very briefly, in addition to an RTX 2070 Super, to achieve the same results on the PC, an NVMe SSD capable of high sequential and asynchronous speeds would be needed.
